Xaden Riorson | Xaden is the male lead character and is a third-year rider and wingleader of the Fourth Wing. He is described as tall and muscular, Xaden cuts an imposing figure with his windswept black hair, dark brows, and tawny skin. A jagged scar bisects his eyebrow and cheek, and a rebellion relic winds its way up his arm and neck. His onyx eyes, flecked with gold, hold a commanding gaze. Known for his sharp mind and quick judgment calls, he’s an authoritative leader with an emotional distance that few can penetrate. |
Dain Aetos | Dain is described as a seasoned second-year rider and squad leader, a long time friend to Violet since their childhood. Physically imposing with strong, calloused hands, he carries the marks of his experience in a newly trimmed beard that frames his full lips. A scar, visible when he turns his head, adds to the lines etched into his face. His tan skin contrasts with the striking, soft brown of his eyes, which hold a determined intensity. General Lilith Sorrengail | Lilith is Violet and Mira’s mother as well as the commander of Basigaith War College. She is described as tall, muscular, strong and healthy with brown hair cut short for combat. Once softer, the loss of her husband hardened her into Navarre’s ironclad general. She’s a walking, talking embodiment of duty, with polished boots and an even colder exterior. Beneath the icy facade, a fierce love for her family burns, fueling her relentless drive to protect Navarre at any cost. |
Rhiannon Matthias | Rhiannon is Violet’s calm and collected best friend. A fierce fighter with a loyal heart, she’ll protect her friends at all costs. She has striking dark features, including high cheekbones and brown eyes. Rhiannon usually wears her dark hair in braids, but ties them up for battle. |
Sawyer Henrick | Sawyer is described as a chill, smart, and athletic guy who’s seen it all since he is in his second year at Basgiath since he did not bond with a dragon his first year. He’s like the older brother everyone needs, helping the new kids navigate the crazy world while staying totally cool under pressure. Tairn | A black morningstar-tail dragon, one of the biggest and fiercest in Fourth Wing. He is the first dragon to bond with Violet. |
Andarna | A sweet and brave gold feathertail, who bonds with Violet as her second dragon |
Sgaeyl | A blue daggertail, Xaden Riorson’s bonded dragon, and Tairn’s mate, is the most ruthless and cunning amongst all dragons. Fierce and loyal to the core, Sgaeyl is probably the most terrifying dragon in this series. |
