About
In the fall of 2023, Cassie decided to pick up a little book called Fourth Wing. She couldn’t put it down and told her best friend Emily about it. As it turns out, Emily read Fourth Wing ~before it was popular~ , so she couldn’t remember any details about it and made Cassie send her podcast (iMessage voice notes) summaries as she was reading. This quickly became routine as Cassie embarked on a 3-month long journey to finish the Sarah J. Maas book universe that Emily had read years prior. Cassie has a full-time job so it was difficult to keep up with regular podcasting, forcing Emily to scour the internet for chapter summaries to understand what Cassie was sending text reactions to at 1 AM. Spoiler — between Booktok reviews and “if you like this, try that” recommendations, they were slim to none. So, out of a deep love for talking about books and a desperation not to have to reread them to participate in the discussion, the Book Bits Club was born.
Join the BBC (not to be confused with the British Broadcasting Company or any saucy internet acronyms) for bite-sized summaries with Drunk History-level accuracy of books you may have read, or didn’t finish but don’t want to admit to your book club, or books you have no intention of reading but don’t want to be sad in the corner while everyone’s talking about them.
